Imagine your Dad in the 70's, he's in the back shed working on the starter-engine of his lawnmower. He's not into Acca Dacca, he's a little more sensitive and soft in the hand. He's got a soft spot for Fleetwood Mac, John Paul Young and Garth Brooks. He's a man's man, but he often embarrasses you with his fruity fashion ensembles. After a few tinnies he'll dance to anything. Jimmy & The Mirrors kind of sound like him. A little bit contemporary, a little bit daggy, and pretty damn entertaining. Drawing influences from yesteryear and tomorrow, touring the country in all sorts of dubious vehicles and always grinning from ear to ear.

They've released a bunch of EP's, supported some of the country's 'trendiest' bands, played Parklife and Fuse Festival yada yada yada yaaaaaaa. They've also established a strong touring network within regional Australia on the back of a Peter-Garret-endorsed rural touring grant. From Broken Hill to Coonabarabran to Naracoorte, they've played to farmers daughters, Tamworth grommets and trendy vegetarians in Melbourne's inner-east. They're at home on the road. Their songs detail stories of homelessness, the search for religious figures, single-parenting, Egyptian princesses and the fear of growing old. They're a little bit different like that.

2012 has seen the boys embark on more touring locally and interstate, the drinking of many West End beer cans and knuckling down to write some more songs. They'll be putting these songs on record later in the year so keep your eye on the sky and ear on the ground.
